Natasha Morris

Natasha Adiyana Morris is a soft spoken, dramatic storyteller known for wordplay and satire. She is the proud founder of PIECE OF MINE Arts, a presenter for works-in-progress for African Canadian playwrights. Having been mentor and trained by the most generous souls at b current, anitafrika! dub theatre, Obsidian Theatre, and Volcano Theatre—her pay-it-forward attitude is ingrained by those who have come before. Natasha is a published author and director of the Dora nominated play THE NEGROES ARE CONGREGATING (Playwrights Canada Press), which has been produced internationally including Canada, the United States, and Europe. Other works include HALF N HALF, a comedic, rhyme-filled solo show (SummerWorks). Natasha is a graduate of the prestigious Soulpepper Academy and was the assistant director to Weyni Mengesha on the 20th Anniversary revival of ‘da Kink in My Hair at the Bluma Appel Theatre. She currently guest-teaches writing and performance for arts organizations, and regularly sits on several panels and funding juries.
