Adam Meisner
Adam Meisner was born in Moncton, New Brunswick and now lives between Ottawa and Toronto. Adam’s play For Both Resting and Breeding premiered at Talk is Free Theatre in Barrie, Ontario in 2018, and the company has since toured the play to Australia, Argentina and Chile. Scirocco Drama published For Both Resting and Breeding in 2023, and it was shortlisted for a LAMBDA literary award in 2024. Adam’s other writing has appeared in literary journals throughout North America, including in the Ex-Puritan, Copper Nickel and Ninth Letter, and in anthologies including This is Beyond: A Time Capsule of Queer Experience (Playwrights Canada Press). Adam studied theatre at the University of Toronto and the University of Manchester and holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia.
