Linda McCready
Linda McCready is a playwright from Montreal. She mostly writes dramatic comedies. Since 2011, there have been over 25 productions of her one-act plays as part of theatre festivals. All her plays are suitable for an audience of 14 years and older. Her one-act play Finders Keepers won second prize at Theatre in the Raw’s 2012-2013 Biennial Playwriting Contest (Vancouver). Who’s Laughing Now won the Adjudicator’s Award for Outstanding Original Script at the London One Act Festival 2015. The Living Library was published by Playwrights Canada Press in Long Story Short, An Anthology of (Mostly) 10-Minute Plays. Linda has also written three full-length plays, which were presented as public staged reading: The Blunt Widow (shortlisted for The Playwrights of Spring provincial contest in 2008), In Search of Passion and The Year My Father Became a Saint (now a proposal for a television series).
