Caleb Marshall
Currently the Managing Director for Festival Antigonish and Theatre Antigonish, New Brunswick born Caleb Marshall’s thirty-year theatrical career has spanned producing, directing, writing, teaching, acting, administration, and cultural advocacy. He has held senior Artistic and Executive roles at Theatre New Brunswick, The Sudbury Theatre Centre and The Canadian College of Performing Arts. His experience as a writer and dramaturge along with his commitment to supporting writers and stories from the region contributed to the development and premieres of 9 full-length plays, 4 musicals, 9 one-acts and 7 Theatre for Young Audience new works. He collaborated on 3 stage adaptations with nationally renowned author David Adams Richards: Nights Below Station Street, Beaverbrook and Hockey Dreams. His Holiday Script adaptations of Miracle on 34th Street, It’s a Wonderful life and Christmas Carol (musical) have received more than a dozen Professional Productions across Canada. He has been shortlisted for the Herman Voaden National Playwriting Competition and honored with an Indigenous Blanket Ceremony, the Christopher Plummer Fellowship Award, The Stratford Festival’s Eliot Haze Playwright Development Award and was recognized by the New Brunswick Arts Board with an Excellence Award in the Arts.
