Kevin Land

Kevin Land is a playwright, screenwriter, producer, director and educator. He was born in Hamilton and studied at the University of St. Jerome’s College and the University of Victoria. Since 1980, he has written sixteen plays which have been performed across Canada, the United States, and in England. He co-produced his adaptation of his play Turns for television and later adapted his play Skinning the Cat as a feature film.
More recently, he assisted the senior writing class of a Hamilton high school with the creation of a one-act play based on the stories of their peers, and then helped the drama teacher turn it into a full stage production. A documentary entitled A Better Day was made during this fascinating process.
Kevin lives with his wife Mary-Jo, a psychotherapist, in Priceville, Ontario and operates “Speaking Volumes”, a new and used bookstore, in Markdale.
