Kate Jaimet is a playwright, novelist, and non-fiction writing with a long career in journalism. In playwriting, she leans toward comedy with a dash of social satire, preferring large-cast ensemble shows to monologues or two-handers. Her full-length plays, The Royal Flush and Mixed Doubles, have been professionally staged in Ottawa, while her short plays, Workplace Wellness and The Office of Threats to Western Civilization, have been performed internationally at short play festivals in places as far-flung as Dubai, California, and the Philippines. She believes in creative collaborations, Fringe festivals, self-production, shoe-string budgets, and a never-say-die attitude.
