Doug has been writing plays with partner Marcia Kash since 1991 when they wrote Who’s Under Where? Next came A Party to Murder in 1996, Too Many Cooks, which premièred in 2003, Jack of Diamonds, which was nominated for PGC’s Tom Hendry Award for Best Comedy in 2013, and Something Fishy, won that award the following year. All five works are published by Concord Theatricals, and have enjoyed over 300 productions in 16 countries around the world, as well as having been translated into 10 languages. Their latest play, Deadline, premiered at The Human Race Theatre Company in Dayton, Ohio in 2022, and was subsequently published by Broadway Licensing of New York City. In 2015, Doug wrote two short plays for the Toronto Symphony Orchestra’s Decades series, Debussy: At Sea and The Talking Cure. He makes his home in Toronto.
