Catherine Frid
Catherine Frid is a Guelph, Ontario based playwright whose work includes Homegrown, Spend Your Kids’ Inheritance, Thistlepatch, What I Gave I Have, Half Full, Burying Toni, GuineaPigging, Dead Cat Bounce, and numerous short plays that have been presented in Canada and the United States.
Catherine also co-creates new plays with communities whose voices are seldom heard, including Living Below the Line, Belonging in the Township of Wellesley, Two-Sided Mirror, AfterWhys, Our Roots Our Future, and Our Voices: Senior Selfies.
Her publications include Our Voices: Senior Selfies; “This Isn’t Toronto” in Long Story Short; Community with Strangers in Scenes from a Diverse World; and Us and Them in Thirtysomethings: Mother-Daughter Monologues. She has taught at Osgoode Hall Law School and Toronto Metropolitan University.
Catherine has been Playwright in Residence at Mixed Company Theatre, and Artist in Residence at Osgoode Hall Law School.
