Julie Florio

Julie Florio is a theatre creator originally from Hamilton Ontario. Her written work includes The Dottie Parker Project (an adaptation), Ubu the King (a re-imagined translation), and 4 original plays – Breathe, Faint Girl, The Free and Independent Washington Square, and Readymade (developed in the Theatre Aquarius Playwrights Unit). Since graduating from the University of Toronto and Sheridan College Theatre and Drama Studies Specialist program, Julie has co-produced 34 new Canadian works, directed 7 productions, and performed in over 20 plays. Julie has also voiced beloved characters for the award-winning Decoder Ring Theatre radio podcast.
