Wayne Ferguson
Wayne Ferguson, a retired Red River College instructor and recovering p.r. hack, draws on experience and observations acquired during a working life spanning five decades: high school English teacher, ESL teacher for the military, post-secondary Business Communications, and Marketing, instructor, and Corporate Communications manager and
consultant in government departments and crown corporations in three different provinces. Trust Me, Ferguson’s first play provides glimpses into various aspects of politics: the democracy of betrayal, i.e., screw everyone equally; the economics of loyalty, i.e., if the price is right, I’m your man/woman. It was performed at the 2013 Winnipeg Fringe Festival. His second play, Poppyseed Bun, inspired by the tragic life of a Winnipeg physician, deals with the consequences of pervasive ignorance about depression, It has yet to be produced. A third play explores the consequences of the clash of appearance and reality among residents of Banff the Beautiful.
