Maryjane Cruise

Maryjane Cruise is an accomplished playwright and director based in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. A retired music and drama teacher, she has made a significant mark on the global stage with her widely produced plays. Maryjane holds a psychology degree from Brock University and a music degree from the Royal Conservatory of Canada.
Her playwriting journey began with the musical Albert Street, which premiered at Theatre Aquarius in 2000. Among her notable works are Dried Flowers, recipient of two national awards, and Separate Beds, published by Canadian Playwright Press. Other significant plays include Stranger in Our House, which received productions in Germany and Austria. In My Life, was a first-place winner at the Sears Drama Festival for high school students. Her latest play is Husbands, Wives & Friends.
Maryjane is an active member of the Playwrights Guild of Canada and Niagara Playwrights, contributing to the vibrant theatrical community.
