Mary Burns is the author of numerous radio plays, including a series for CBC Morningside, Yukon Quintette, included in Dave Carley’s anthology Take Five. Her large cast play Imperfect about institutionalization for what used to be called the developmentally disabled was commissioned by the Douglas College theatre department and produced at Dalhousie and Queen’s University. Casting the Angel, with roles for senior actresses has been produced as staged readings in Vancouver and Gibsons, BC. She is also the author of novels, short story collections and a non-fiction book about snow geese and perception. She lives in Gibsons, BC.
