For years, Thom Bennett divided his time between careers in the theatre and in education (K-13, theatre in post-secondary). As a teacher, he held a Ph.D. in Educational Systems Development, authored numerous journal articles, and served on the Ontario Ministry of Education’s Advisory Committee on the Arts. Extensively involved in theatre as an actor, director and playwright, Thom was the Artistic Director of Rainbow Theatre for 17 years, and the Port Carling Dinner Theatre for 6 years. As a playwright, Thom has written four published plays, including his most performed work Dark Rituals, which has been performed in almost half of the States in the U.S. He has co-authored a full-scale adaptation of the romantic swashbuckler The Prisoner of Zenda (in adult and student editions, recently revised), and a thriller entitled Ravens Cliff, Island of Games. Other plays include Club Dead and Return to Wonderland. Thom is a recipient of the Canada 125 Award, and is a member of the Playwrights Guild of Canada and the Crime Writers of Canada.

For the last several years, Thom has spent his time writing books. He has published three thrillers featuring P.I. Cass Gentry and his girlfriend Eleanor Palladino: The Man With Hemingway’s Face, The Death Merchants, and The Detective & the Don’s Daughter.

Short story anthologies include 13 Tales from the Dark, The Christmas House and Promises, Promises. All of Thom’s books are available on Amazon, as well as eBooks on Kindle, Kobo, and Google Play.
