Trevor Barrette
Trevor Barrette is a queer theatre maker of French settler descent, born in Ottawa and raised and based in Montreal (Tio’tia:ke/Mooniyang). Since graduating from John Abbott College’s Professional Theatre program in 2011, Trevor founded KaleidoscopeMTL, directing 10 productions, including four original musicals. His notable works include Memento Mori, Captain Aurora and its sequel, which performed to sold-out audiences at the Montreal Fringe Festival. His projects have been featured at Centaur Theatre’s Wildside Festival, Segal Centre’s Academy, and more. Trevor’s latest musical Max and Aaron Write a Musical, will premiere at the Segal Centre in June 2025. He also directed the Yiddish premiere of Alix Sobler’s The Great Divide. As a performer and stage manager, Trevor has collaborated with esteemed companies like the National Arts Centre and Centaur Theatre. He is committed to creating inclusive and dynamic theatre, currently developing new works such as A Curious Life and Erwin’s Many Worlds.
