Page Turn – DEADLINE: 2025/07/24

Page Turn is a paid professional development and skills-building network for emerging performing arts critics in Canada. Page Turn aims to equip the next wave of critics and performing arts journalists with skills in composing and delivering story pitches; working with editors; networking and developing working relationships; and continuing to build and hone their critical and writing skills. It also intends to build community and solidarity among emerging performing arts writers.

The program is open to writers of any age with some experience and training in performing arts criticism, feature writing, and/or online content creation who identify as IBPOC; they are also open to applications from others who face barriers to participation in the performing arts-writing field, including those who identify as 2SLGBTQ+, Non-binary, d/Deaf, Mad, Disabled, or who face other barriers to participation​​.
