Frances Koncan is an Anishinaabe and Slovene writer from Couchiching First Nation in Treaty 3 territory. They hold a BA in Psychology from the University of Manitoba and an MFA in Playwriting from the City University of New York Brooklyn College. They are currently Assistant Professor of Playwriting at the University of British Columbia. Plays include: Murder on the Pacific Spirit Express, Medea’s Masquerade, Space Girl, The Crows, Women of the Fur Trade, and zahgidiwin/love.
