Description
Recommenders are theatre companies authorized by the Ontario Arts Council (OAC) to receive applications, review them, and make grant recommendations. The OAC allocates a budget to each of the participating recommenders.
Applicants should review the recommenders’ priorities and websites to determine which recommenders are the best match for a particular project.
The 2023-24 program is open from September 2023 until January 12, 2024, but the recommender's individual deadlines vary. See the full list of recommenders (there are 45 companies located all over Ontario) and their deadlines here: Ontario Arts Council - Recommenders for Theatre Creators
