Artists, collectives and arts organizations are invited to submit proposals for the inaugural STRANGER FEST, presented by Theatre Encounter.

Stranger is a showcase for non-Realistic, non-Naturalistic performance and art. Presented works might explore Expressionism, Surrealism, Impressionism, Absurdism, Symbolism, abstract, experimental, non-narrative, or other approaches outside of mainstream presentation. Submissions from all artistic disciplines are welcome. Presented artists will receive venue and technical support, rehearsal space, marketing, and 100% of ticket sales to their event(s) and/or honoraria.

Stranger Fest takes place March 18-23, 2024 at cSpace Marda Loop in Calgary, AB. Proposals will be accepted until August 1, 2023.
