LAB Laughs an Evening of Comedic Shorts
January 21-24
Featuring “Hold Your Wings” by Christine Foster

About this Event

Each year LAB Theater Project presents a weekend of comedic shorts as part of our annual giving fundraising . Last year, due to the pandemic we were unable to offer LAB Laughs, but we are starting 2021 out right.

LAB Laughs is our annual giving fundraising event which focuses on original short comedic works. This year we are presenting eight plays from near and far. These eight shorts are sure to make you laugh, giggle, groan, and even possibly snort, but we wont tell anyone if you do.

LAB Laughs is presented for both live socially-distanced, reduced capacity audiences and via livestream. Your attendance supports our mission of bringing new works to life and developing new artists. Additionally, we ask you to consider making a donation to support our campaign as well. LAB is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit and we will provide a donation receipt at the end of the year for all donations.

These eight works for LAB Laughs range from a particularly trying moment while staging “the Scottish play,” through a whodunit and how in the library with Prof. Plum and Mrs. Scarlet, Snow White’s Queen denying her own villainous nature, a regular guy trying getting relationship advice from his virtual assistant, an existential romp with Gil and Bill to find if all is really well, and three sisters wholly revamping their roles in Macbeth, a deep dive into her boyfriend’s Sci-Fi favorites sends her over the deep end, to a soul’s desire to come back from heaven.

We offer two options for attending our performances, live in person, or via livestream. Our in person seating is limited to 10 patrons per performance with masks required. To see our full Covid-19 policy, click here:

Not ready to venture out to live in-person theater? We understand and want you to still be able to enjoy live theater and so we offer our multi-camera livestream option. Sit back in the comfort of your home and enjoy the show livestreamed through our YouTube channel. On the night of your performance, you’ll receive a conformation email with the link to your performance.

Tickets for in person attendance are on sale until 30 minutes before curtain. Livestream ticket sales end 90 minutes before curtain. Please plan accordingly when purchasing tickets.

We look forward to seeing you at the show and thank you for supporting live theater.
