“Craft Bites” with Jan Sims and Kristine Greenaway

PGC members have been paired up to share their work and discuss the craft of playwriting with one another. You can tune into these live events and get a glimpse of what these theatre creators have been up to!

Craft Bites is open and free to the public.

November 8th at 4pm EST: Jan Sims and Kristine Greenaway

Jan Sims
Jan Sims is a writer and journalist. Jan’s play “Get a Life” was the co-winner of Best Production at the Red Curtain Short Plays Festival in 2021. Her full-length plays, “Gracious Living” and “Weight” were performed at the Arts Project in London, Ontario in 2019 and 2020. Her one-act plays, “The Lost Treasure of Jesse James” and “Bed & Breakfast” were performed at the McManus Theatre at London’s Grand Theatre through the Playwrights Cabaret. Her play “A Day at the Beach” was performed at the Newmarket National 10 Minute Play Festival. Jan’s career in television news includes being a reporter and anchor in cities across Ontario including CTV London, Toronto, Barrie & Sudbury. Jan is currently a contributor to the Middlesex Banner newspaper and has had articles published in Today’s Parent Magazine. Jan has an M.A. in Journalism from Western University and a B.A. in Drama & Sociology from Queen’s University. She is married with two sons; a writer and a graduate student in physics. Jan also has a cat named Moses. 

Kristine Greenaway
Kristine Greenaway is a playwright and translator whose plays have been produced in Switzerland, France, and Canada. She tells stories about characters and places which tickle her imagination when she asks, “Who lives here and why?” As the English-language translator for Swiss playwright, Emanuelle Delle Piane, she has translated plays for adults and children. Kristine is a member of the Playwrights Guild of Canada, the Société suisse des auteurs, the Geneva Writers’ Group, and Alumnae Theatre.
