Genevieve Adam is a graduate of the George Brown Theatre School in Toronto and the East15 Acting School in the UK. Selected acting credits include: Mrs. America (FX), The Handmaid’s Tale (Hulu), Road(Equity Showcase Theatre), Romeo and Juliet (Theatre By the Bay), Annabel (BBC4), Recall (Toronto Fringe), and Measure for Measure(Thought for Food). Her first play Deceitful Above All Things premiered at SummerWorks in 2015 and won several accolades including Outstanding New Play, Outstanding Production, and Best Emerging Artist. It was remounted at the Factory in association with The Storefront Theatre in February 2017. Subsequent plays include Bedsport (Newmarket National Play Festival), New World (Future Theatre Festival), Anatomy of A Dancer (Next Stage 2019), The Boat Show (Lost Souls’ Collective), and If The Shoe Fits, which won second place in the Toronto Fringe 2019 New Play Writing Contest. Her most recent play Dark Heart was named one of the top theatrical productions of 2018 by the Toronto Star. She is a contributor to the Streams and Variations podcast.
Damien Atkins has acted on most of the major stages across the country. Recent credits include: Caroline, or Change (Obsidian/Musical Stage); The Ladykillers, Getting Married, Henry V and Sherlock Holmes in The Hound of the Baskervilles (Shaw); Angels in America (Arts Club); Hosanna, A Doll’s House, The Heidi Chronicles, Angels in America (Soulpepper), The Gay Heritage Project (Buddies). Other credits include: Someone Else, Unidentified Human Remains…, Shopping and Fucking (Crow’s Theatre), London Road, 7 Stories, Frost/Nixon, The Glass Menagerie, Amadeus, Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods (Canadian Stage), Jacob Two-Two, Beauty & The Beast, Seussical (YPT), Sextet (Tarragon), The Caretaker, The Importance of Being Earnest (Soulpepper), I Am My Own Wife(Dallas Theater Center), The Way of the World (NAC/Soulpepper), The Retreat from Moscow (Neptune Theatre), and Mozart in Amadeus (Segal Theatre, Montreal). He spent four seasons at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, as both actor and playwright. His plays include Real Live Girl, miss chatelaine, Lucy, Good Mother, The Mill, Part Four: Ash, and We Are Not Alone. Film and TV credits include Saving Hope (CTV), Murdoch Mysteries (CBC), The Listener(CTV), Slings and Arrows (TMN), Our Fathers (Showtime), The Matthew Sheppard Story (NBC), The Eleventh Hour (CTV), This is Wonderland (CBC) and Sarah Polley’s Take This Waltz. Damien has been a guest instructor at the National Theatre School, and playwright-in-residence at Crow’s Theatre. Canadian Stage and Factory Theatre. He received a Jessie Award and the Toronto Theatre Critics’ Award for Best Actor for Angels in America. He has also received ten Dora Mavor Moore Award nominations for acting and writing, winning four.
