“Bar Mitzvah Boy” by Mark Leiren-Young
November 5 @ 12:00 am - November 25 @ 12:00 am EST
Staged Reading – November 5th – 25th
Director’s Notes: Joey, a non-observant Jewish grandfather and successful divorce attorney has never had a Bar Mitzvah but decides he should complete the traditional ritual before his 12-year-old grandson. Determined by nature, Joey finds himself dealing with challenging religious instruction from Michael, the synagogues’ young Rabbi who is confronting her own life-shaking challenges. A heartfelt comedy/drama that explores faith, religion and what it means to be part of a community.
